Software for logistics and field work.
Jobs come in on WhatsApp, go out on a van, and come back as a photo and an invoice. Software for that whole loop.
Where custom work fits
Delivery firms, movers and trade contractors run on the same loop: a job arrives (usually on WhatsApp), someone assigns it, a driver or technician does it, proof comes back, and an invoice goes out. Most of the pain is in the handoffs: the job that was never written down, the photo on someone’s personal phone, the invoice raised a month late.
We build tools for that loop, one piece at a time, on the phones your team already carries. Where a ready-made fleet or dispatch tool fits your work, we’ll say so; many of them are good at routing and weak at the paperwork around it.
What we can build for contractors and delivery firms
- A job board fed from WhatsApp. Messages become jobs with an address, a time window and a customer, instead of living in a chat scrollback.
- Dispatch. Jobs assigned to drivers or technicians by day and area, with each person seeing their own list.
- A driver app with proof of delivery. Photo, signature, failed-delivery reason and time, synced when the signal comes back in a basement.
- Customer ETA links. “Your driver is two stops away” without anyone calling the office.
- Job sheet to quote to invoice. Parts and hours recorded on site, quoted on the spot, invoiced with GST before the van leaves.
- Servicing schedules. Aircon, pest control and maintenance contracts with the next visits planned and reminders sent.
- Site daily reports and defects. Renovation and construction progress, photos and defect lists logged on site and shared with the client.
- Vehicles and equipment. Road tax, inspection, servicing and who has which tool, in one list with reminders.
What we build around
Phones first, because the field team is on them. Offline use matters more here than anywhere else, so the app keeps working in a lift or a basement and syncs later. For the office, we connect to your accounting software for invoices and to whatever routing or tracking tool you already pay for.
Where to start
The driver or technician app with proof of delivery is a good first job: it settles most arguments about what was delivered. The WhatsApp-to-job-board step is next. Invoicing from the job sheet comes once the jobs themselves are reliably recorded.
Questions people ask
Our drivers are not comfortable with apps. Will they use it?
They will if it is simpler than what they do now. A good field app is three or four big buttons, works offline, and replaces a phone call. We design it with the people who will use it.
Can it work without signal?
Yes. Jobs, photos and signatures are saved on the phone and sent when the signal returns. That is a deliberate part of the build.
Do you do route optimisation?
For simple cases we can order the day’s stops sensibly. For large fleets, dedicated routing tools are better, and we connect to them rather than rebuilding them.
Can invoices include GST and go into our accounting software?
Yes. Job sheets become quotes and invoices with the right GST treatment, and they are posted to your accounting software so the office does not retype them.
